Company Registrations in the UK

Limited by shares

This is the most common type of company and suitable for most businesses whether you are trading or just want to protect a name. These companies are made to your own specifications, and are normally registered within a few hours on our standard service.

Limited by Guarantee

Limited by Guarantee companies are best suited to not for profit companies, such as charitable organisations, Associations, Clubs and Educational Institutions. It is normal to include a non-distribution of profits clause in the Articles of Association, and we will include this unless instructed otherwise. These companies have no share capital and the liability is fixed to a sum guaranteed by its members, normally £1.00.

Public Limited Companies

This type of company is able to offer shares to, and raise funds from the general public, although this is not compulsory. Some are run privately but prefer having the status of a plc. Plc’s must have a minimum of 2 directors, a qualified company secretary, and a minimum share capital of £50,000 or 75,000 Euro.

Limited Liability Partnerships

This is a different form of UK business entity. It is taxed as a partnership, but has the benefit of being a corporate entity. A Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) shares many of the features of a normal partnership – but it also offers reduced personal responsibility for business debts.

Community Interest Companies

Community Interest Companies are a type of company established to trade for the community good. CIC’s can be registered as private company limited by shares, a company limited by guarantee, or a public limited company. They cannot currently be ordered online through our website, but if you would like to register a CIC or would like more information please call us on 0207 112 5166.

We are regulated by the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Amendment) Regulations 2019, London Local Authorities Act 2007, and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines, which means we must verify the ID and address of customers and certain shareholders. See the FAQ page for more details.
